Collision Repair: Getting the Most for Your Auto Insurance Claim

By Todd Sherwin

It is unlucky when you are in an accident, particularly when you were the one who accidentally made a wrong call. It happens, and that's why you have got insurance. Once you have calmed down, you are going to want to choose where to have your vehicle towed if it is not drivable.

1. Guarantee good craftsmanship.

Often your vehicle insurance corporation will partner with a pair body shops around the town so you are going to want to investigate those first.

Usually insurance companies will only partner with services that have proved trustworthy and provide glorious workmanship.

Frequently you can find a list on their site. If you are able to identify those options, ensure you go or get towed there.

2. Collision centers offer full service.

For instance if your Colorado auto insurance company commends a collision center, they generally will be offering you much more in the way of help than merely Mr. Brown's Car Repair down the street. Regularly they will provide you transportation home or to the closest automobile rental place. If you were on the way to work, they'll frequently take you there.

The cool thing about going to a place your company recommends, you may be sure that you'll receive great service and fantastic results. There is nothing worse than getting your auto back from a body shop only to see that the paint does not match and there are openings in the body parts.

3. Collision centers can make your auto like new again.

Experienced body shops regularly will have a lifetime warrantee on the work they do to your auto. This is a great feature to have if you find the painting is flaking or something.

If something comes up you can always contact the shop rather than have to try to get something accomplished through the insurance company.

You have got insurance for worst cases, and with luck you may never use it. But if you do, it's good to find out how to get the maximum from your coverage.
